Project Description

About this project

This project was put together over three months. It began with discussion of a plaque, a ceremony and a website, and it took off from there.

I took a lot of pride in this project due to being able to take the lead on so many levels of it. I was responsible for the chronological website www.creditvalleyca.ca/sixty, which was adapted from a template that I had sourced from Northwestern University. I worked closely with our impromptu archivist to gather up the images and text for the site, carefully managing a database within Google Docs, which this site feeds its content from.

I was responsible for all of the promotional materials, from banners outside of our building, to imagery in the lobby, to ads, social posts and decorating our conservation areas with banners as well. I had also come up with the “tabs”, to be put on documents meant for public consumption that didn’t otherwise have any association with the 60th celebration.

As is the course with my experience so far, I also had to figure out how to get a bronze plaque made. It went off without a hitch.

Project Brief

Credit Valley Conservation was to celebrate their 60th anniversary. They required a logo, a website  a bronze plaque and tons of event signage and odds and ends.

The Challenge

I took it upon myself to make this project great. I’m a big fan of all things old fashioned, so I set out to include CVC’s first logo in the upcoming project. I had also decided that a chronological website consisting of landmark events would be a pretty great starting point to educating the public about our history.

The Solution

I ended up with a very well regarded project by the time I was done with it. See below for examples of graphic pieces.
