Project Description

Project Brief

My brother had started a business and needed some graphics for his truck. That turns into postcards, lawn signs, a website, business cards, a custom clipboard… you get it. Most fun I’ve had with graphics in a long time.

The Challenge

The biggest challenge here was the saturated market in post hole services. I hadn’t even noticed that such an industry existed before his foray into the realms. The second biggest challenge was that I had a blank canvas to work with, and nobody to disagree with me.

The Solution

I came up with a solution that I was very happy with. I went with a red-orange, because there didn’t seem to be any other post hole services with that colour. I lucked out and he bought a graphite truck, so it suited the white and orange perfectly. a company with a family name deserves a bit of a nod tot he past, so we went in that direction, even with the “post and hole” part of the name as opposed to “postholes” as many others had done. The orange stripes along the bottom of the truck are in reference to the truck being a Ford, and are called Shelby stripes. There is a knockout in the Shelby Stripe that is the post and hole picket fence icon. The rest is pretty self-explanatory.
